WAA Member Jeff Wiener and Owner/Director of Dangerous Media Productions, Inc. will present a two day workshop to help artists advance their careers with technology and the internet. Whether you are an artist who wants to launch their first website, or a Techie/Creative-Type who needs to increase traffic to your website, this workshop is for you.
The first workshop on Saturday dives into online publishing systems like WordPress, Shopify, and Wix and the lays out the benefits, expenses and disadvantages of the various website hosting platforms. The workshop will also provide strategies and tactics for arts career promotion through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.
The second workshop on Sunday dives into the creation of digital media, better known as the graphics you see when you are on a website. Jeff will present various methods for creating digital art, illustrations and website graphics using software by Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.), on a laptop and an iPad during the workshop.
Artists interested in using the iPad as a creation tool are welcome to bring their devices to the workshop.
